VT0327 : Cerclage pupilloplasty -Reconstructing the magical shutter.

Abstract

Traumatic mydriasis is seen in patients of blunt eye trauma, causing glare, and photophobia and blurring of vision ,.
Surgical Technique
Three 120 degree apart paracentesis port were made by sideport .The 10-0 Prolene suture was used . First needle was introduced in the anterior chamber from one port. Needle is weaved through iris ,from the pupillary margin holding the iris using microforcep, till it reaches the other port at 11’o clock. A 26 gauge needle was insert through the side port at 11’o clock as a guide ,to take prolene needle out. The steps were repeated from 11 ‘o clock paracentesis port and exiting from 6’0 clock port. The same procedure replete between 6 and 2 o’clock, until the whole iris circumference was captured. Both needles were pulled out at 11 o’clock and the thread tighten to achieve the desired pupil size. viscoelastic removed with bimanual irrigation/aspiration and the side port were hydrated .
