GP0106 : OCT: Will it be the new ‘standard’ in Ophthalmic Assessment?

Abstract

Dr. Shashi Nath Jha

Since its introduction in 1990’s, the technique of OCT has evolved markedly through various generations. The depth resolution has improved significantly. Swept source OCT has enabled the study of choroid along with retinal disorders. Oct angiography is virtually eliminating the need for invasive diagnostic modalities like FFA. In Neuro-ophthalmology OCT is recently proven to be a highly sensitive investigation. Moreover, use of OCT in glaucoma is well established now. This course will elaborate the paradigm shift in OCT technique, its interpretation and clinical use. Hence this instruction course is dedicated to elaborate its clinical applications.
