Abstract

Case Report: Patient came with complain of progressive loss of vision in OS since 1 week.
h/o similar episode in past once treated with steroids. On examination visual acuity was 6/6 in OD and 6/36 in OS. OU anterior segment was within normal limits. Fundus examination was within normal limits in OD and showed disc edema with subretinal fluid in macula in OS. MRI brain showed _STIR hyperintensity along left optic nerve-optic perineuritis/oedema signal around optic nerve likely normal
appearance of brain. IVMP 1gm for 3 days was started followed by oral steroid in tapering doses. On follow up disc edema resolved. Again after 2 months patient presented with loss of vision in OD. OU anterior segment was within normal limits and fundus showed subretinal fluid in macula in OD and was within normal limits in OS, FFA showed stary sky appearance in OU(OD>OS) s/o VKH. Treated with systemic steroids in tapering doses. On follow up subretinal fluid resolved.
Conclusion FFA is diagnostic in VKH.
