FP2632 : BIOMETRIC OUTCOME OF PERIPHERAL IRIDOTOMY IN PATIENTS WITH THE SPECTRUM OF ANGLE CLOSURE DISEASE

Abstract

Purpose: evaluate anterior segment biometric changes in a spectrum of primary angle closure diseases(PACD) pre and post laser PI by AS-OCT and lens star Optical Biometry. Design: Prospective study. Methods: in 80 eyes (40 patients) with PACD, Central AC depth (cACD) and lens thickness(LT) noted from Lens star and angle opening distance 500, 750 (AOD 500, 750), anterior chamber area (ACA), lens vault (LV) measured from AS-OCT pre and post laser. Results: Laser PI resulted in significant increase in AOD 500 , 750 (P ≤ 0.000), c ACD (P = 0.001), and ACA (P < .000). Also correlated AC widening with LT and found, it is more in a group with LT <4.5mm than >4.5mm.Conclusion: Laser PI resulted in widening of the AC angle by a significant increase in the AOD, cACD, ACA and flattening of the iris. AC widening is significant in patients with less LT .
