Abstract

Introduction – Accounting for 3-9% of orbital tumors in children, dermoid cysts are one of the most common non-inflammatory space-occupying orbital lesions in the pediatric population.
Dermoid cysts are generally thought to be congenital lesions of childhood with the vast majority presenting in the first few years of life.
Abstract- A 5 year old male presented with mass in the eye since 3 months and reduced vision since 2 years. Vision was hand movements . On examination there was 4*4mm mass on the limbus consisting of hair follicles and adipose tissue. The lens was cataractous.
The patient underwent surgery for mass removal and pediatric catarct. Histopathological examination confirmed the mass to be limbal dermoid

Conclusion -BASED ON HISTORY AND OPHTHALMOLOGIC EXAMINATION, DERMOID ASSOCIATED WITH CATARACT WAS CONFIRMED WHICH WAS MANAGED SUCCESSFULLY.
