Abstract

The entire journey from concept to manufacture of a made in India dry eye device is presented. The device does four tests – meniscometry, quantitative meibography, central tear film lipimetry and blink analysis. The design, software development and image processing techniques are presented, followed by clinical validation (40 eyes, 240 tests) and head to head comparison (28 + 28) with two predicate devices. Early clinical usage data and use case scenarios are presented.
