Abstract

Study Design: case report.
Purpose: To describe the ophthalmic manifestations of Pachydermoperiostosis.
Methods: An interventional case report.
Results: A 39 year-old male presented with difficulty in opening the eyelids (*right >left).He was a diagnosed case of pachydermoperiostosis and on examination, had bilateral floppy eyelids, ptosis and tylosis (right more than left). The anterior segment examination and fundoscopy were unremarkable. The patient underwent levator palpebral superioris (LPS) plication with tarsal wedge excision in the right eye. At 6 months follow-up both eyes had comparable palpebral fissure height.
Conclusion: Pachydermoperiostosis presents with floppy eyelids, ptosis and tylosis and may require surgical correction.
