Abstract

Case -1:
A 55-year-old man, a known case of Schizophrenia with Right eye Optic nerve head Melanocytoma.
Case-2:
A 35-year-old woman, a known case of Graves’ disease with Left eye Optic nerve head Melanocytoma.

In both cases, Multimodal imaging aided in arriving at a diagnosis
1. OCT- SD OCT revealed a large dome-shaped elevation corresponding to the tumor at the optic nerve head area with a thin hyper-reflective line defining the anterior outline of the tumor, with an underlying back-shadowing due to heavy pigmentation without surrounding exudation or edema.
2. USG B scan – B-scan revealed a dome-shaped mass lesion over the optic disc region with acoustic solidity and high echogenicity.
3. FFA – FFA revealed characteristic blocked fluorescence in the entire lesion due to the presence of pigments throughout the angiogram and can aid in differentiating this condition from uveal melanoma.
4. Humphrey’s visual field analysis (HFA) – HFA revealed an enlarged blind spot.
