Abstract

objective;To evaluate the correlation of VA with CFT post IVTA &To evaluate the response on serous macular detachment post IVTA
STUDY DESIGN: hospital based prospective interventional study.
Methods:30 DME patients underwent VA IOP,OCT pre and post injection of IVTA 4mg and followed at 1wk,1st &3rd month Results:In our study the mean BCVA ±SD were 1.01±0.30 pre injection. In day 1, 1 week, 1month and 3months the BCVA±SD were 0.81±0.21, 0.74±0.21, 0.60±0.28, 0.47±0.28 respectively.
The initial pre injection mean CFT±SD was 479±14. 1month after IVTA it was 315.33±93with (34%) reduction at the end of 1 month. 3rd month after IVTA it was 265.06±48, with a reduction of the mean CFT by 214 μm(44%)
In our study there is a positive correlation between 1st & 3rd month BCVA & 1st and 3rd month CFT.
In our study 33% had SRD before IVTA. At 1 month complete SRD regression was noted in 8 out of 10 patients (80%).And at the end of 3rd month complete SRD regression was documented in 9patients(90%).
