FP2204 : A RARE CASE OF CLIMATIC DROPLET KERATOPATHY – GOLDEN LUMINENCE SPHERULES

Abstract

A 70 years old male came with chief complaints of both eye defective vision and left eye watering. BCVA of both eyes was 6/24 and IOP was normal. Anterior segment examination of left eye revealed homogeneous, translucent, fine, golden yellow, spherules in peripheral cornea at nasal interpalpebral area not involving the pupillary axis. Lesion was seen involving epithelium, bowman layer and superficial stroma. Nuclear sclerosis gr 3 were present and posterior segment was normal. Clinical diagnosis of grade 1 Spheroidal degeneration was made. Patient was advised both eye cataract surgery. Symptomatic therapy for corneal degeneration with artificial tear drops was prescribed.
