FP2160 : Orbital veno-lymphatic malformations: Outcome of management with intralesional bleomycin

Abstract

Study design-Retrospective interventional case series.
Purpose: Safety and efficacy of intralesional bleomycin in orbital venolymphatic malformations (OVLM).
Method: Retrospective interventional case series.
Results: The mean age at presentation was 12y. Orbital-palpebral type was seen in 23(52%), with conjunctival involvement in 7(16%). Intralesional bleomycin (mean 3 ± 1) + aspiration of macrocysts was performed. Radiofrequency surface ablation for conjunctival component was performed in 8(18%). Transient periorbital edema (24%) and ecchymosis (19%) were adverse reactions noted. Sustained remission was seen in 78% at a mean follow-up of 42m.
Conclusions: Intralesional bleomycin is safe and provides a gratifying non-surgical approach to OVLM.
