Abstract
A 19 year old female presented with painless, gradually progressive mass in left upper eyelid near lateral part of eyebrow since childhood. On examination, BCVA in both eyes is 6 /6. There is 15x8mm smooth, painless, mobile, non-tender, non-pulsatile mass in superotemporal quadrant of left eye. Rest anterior and posterior segment within normal limits with no movement restriction. CT Brain+Orbit with contrast showed well-defined, non-enhancing subcutaneous, hypodense lesion overlying lateral aspect of left orbit suggestive of lipoma with no bone erosions or intracranial extension. Surgical excision of mass as done in toto and intraoperatively hair follicles in mass noted. Histopathology report suggestive of mature cystic teratoma with cyst lined by keratinized epithelium with presence of sebaceous, pilosebaceous units with hair follicles. On follow up, swelling was reduced and no recurrence noted yet.
Conclusion:- Surgical excision is mainstay of treatment with excellent prognosis.
