Abstract
Synopsis:
History: A 45 year old male patient, a mill worker by profession, presented with chief complaints of redness of left eye, along with swelling of cheek and puffiness of eyelids. The swelling was completely painless and persistent, present since birth which would at times become more prominent and regress at other times. It was not associated with pain, discharge or diminished vision.
Examination and Clinical findings: The patient had Left eye redness, upper and lower eyelid edema, no tederness, subconjunctival hemorrhage and chemosis, exotropia and non-tender cheek swelling. The vision was un-affected.
Investigations:
MR brain angiography was performed wihch showed slow flow vascular malformation involving predominantly intraconal compartment of Left orbit extending to extraconal compartment, eyelids, infratemporal fossa, left buccal and pharyngeal mucosal space, upper lip, left lower xygomaitc region and lower cheek
Diagnosis: cavernous hemangioma
