FP1900 : CASE REPORT OF POLYMORPHOUS ADENOCARCINOMA OF LACRIMAL GLAND

Abstract

CASE REPORT-A 45yr old female patient presented with pain in the left eye since 1 week and swelling in left upper lid since 6 months.Patient gives h/o painless slowly progressive abnormal mass in left eye since the age of 10yrs with recurrence after surgical excision. On examination left eye visual acuity-PL negative with irregular upper lid mass about 6x5cm with induration with pedunculated mass arising from lowerpalpebral conjunctiva. Normal Bone marrow biopsy and CSF analysis,USG abdomen showing liver hemangioma,CECT showing metastasis to left parotid gland,incisional biopsy showing PAC of lacrimal gland with differentiation.TREATMENT- underwent left orbital exenteration+ temporalis muscle flap reconstruction +chemotherapy. CONCLUSION- PAC is the 2nd common malignant epithelial tumour of salivary gland, hence any progressive swelling in oral cavity, parotid region,orbit to be examined thoroughly and well managed.
