Abstract
Purpose:Evaluate outcomes of 5-0 proleneGATT in Indian population. Methods:Prospective, interventional study.Patients who underwent GATT&phaco GATT were included.Outcome measures were surgical success,IOP, AGM,BCVA&complications.Results:105 eyes(95 patients) of which 75 eyes underwent phacoGATT&30 GATT.In GATT grp, mean IOP reduced from 21.67± 11.42mmHg to 16.38±8.42,16.47±10.26,13.10±3.25mmHg &from 17.71±6.85mmHg to 12.29±4.44,12.33±4.44,12.18±3.49mmHg in phaco GATT grp at1,3,6 months respectively(p<0.001).AGM reduced from 2.63±1.19 to 0.67±1.09,0.60±1.25 in GATT&from 1.67±1.22 to 0.41±0.87,0.34±0.82 in phacoGATT at 3,6months respectively(p<0.001).Complete success (IOP >6-≤21 mmHg /20% reduction without AGM) was seen in 91.2% of GATT and 96.7% in phacoGATT.BCVA improved from logMAR 0.30 to 0.00(p<0.001) in phacoGATT.Hyphema(>1mm)was seen in 6 patients,2 required AC wash.IOP spikes(>30mmHg) were seen in 2 patientsConclusion:GATT and phaco GATT are efficacious&safe in patients with POAG
