Methods-60 year old female with no known comorbidities presented with a brownish discoloured mass in left eye for 3 months.On examination both eyes BCVA was 6/9.On slitlamp examination a 2.5mm*2mm vertical pigmented conjunctival mass with leukoplakic lesion at 9'0 clock limbus with corneal extension of 0.5mm noted.Patient was seronegative.Wide local excision of the lesion was done with 4 mm margin away from lesion.Absolute alcohol was used followed by double thaw freezing cryotherapy at the margin base.Bare sclera was glued with wet AMG.
Result-HPE report was Grade 3 CIN with Melanin pigment(IHC p40 +).Patient was started on .04% MitomycinC eyedrops 4 times a day for 3 weeks with alternate week off along with low dose topical steroids.Patient shows no signs of recurrrence on 1 year followup.
Conclusion: CIN can be managed with wide local excision followed by mitomycin eyedrops.Intraop use of absolute alcohol and cryo at margin base can prevent recurrence.
