Abstract

PURPOSE: To report a case of rare eyelid tumour with HPE suggestive of sebaceous cell carcinoma
METHOD: A 58Yr old female presented with mass arising from the right upper lid since 1yr associated with blood-tinged discharge since 3months.No H/O of constitutional symptoms
RESULT: On examination visual acuity 6/6. A deformity in upper lid margin noted with focal loss of lashes. On everting the lid globular sessile mass slight yellowish with irregular surface & blood-tinged discharge seen, measuring around 6×7mm noted. The fellow eye was examined to be normal
The clinical diagnosis of sebaceous cell carcinoma which was made, was substantiated by the biopsy report of the excised lesion. The patient underwent 4mm wide excision biopsy with marginal clearance and subsequent lid reconstruction with Tenzel semicircular flap
