Abstract

A 2 year female child presented with swelling in Right eye since birth which was not progressing in size. On ocular examination the child was fixing and following light and horizontal nystagmus was noted. Right eye showed presence of an epibulbar mass covering inferior and temporal part of conjunctiva and a part of supeficial cornea. General physical excision showed presence of preauricular tags, preauricular sinus, dental malocclusion and club foot in the child. Surgical excision of the mass was done and amniotic membrane graft was sutured over the bare area and bandage contact lens was placed over the cornea. Microscopic examination showed multiple tissue pieces lined by keratinized squamous epidermis. Dermis shows hair follicles and fibroadipose tissue. One tissue bit is lined by cuboidal epithelium. Subepithelium shows lymphoid aggregates and lobules and acini of minor salivary glands suggestive of salivary gland choristoma. There was no evidence of atypia/malignancy.
