Abstract
A 65y year old man came with complaints of sudden diminution of vision in Right eye since 2 days , not associated with any pain and redness of eye .he is a known case of Hypertension since 5 years , gives history of smoking , half pack per day since 10 years visual acuity in right eye was 6/18 . anterior segment examination shows pseudophakia in both eyes , posterior segment in right eye shows edematous retina in supero-temporal quadrant with arterial attenuation, Fundus imaging shows opaque retina in the superior macula . OCT shows thickened hyper reflective inner retina with posterior shadowing , there are no emboli History of smoking and hypertension are the risk factors for Branch retinal vein occlusion in this patient.
patient is referred to the physician for further evaluation to find out exact etiology .
