VT0016 : The Dancing Delight

Abstract

30 years old male patient presented with sudden painless diminution of vision in the left eye for last 7 days. BCVA in the left eye was 6/60,N36.Anterior segment examination was within normal and the fundus examination showed a large pearl white subretinal cyst in the macular area. The patient was started on oral corticosteroids and underwent pars plana vitrectomy with injection of subretinal saline using a 41-gauge cannula and the cyst was gently removed in the vitreous cavity using the counter pressure by the PFCL bubble.Underwent CT Scan of the brain which showed evidence of neurocysticercosis.He was treated with anti-epileptic and anti-helminthic drugs
On follow up at 6 months patient gained a vision of 6/12,N9 in teh left eye with a stable fundus.
