Abstract

Surgeon gets scared when he finds that IOL is not in place in his operated patient, either in immediate post op period or little later. This is more common when surgeon is in learning phase. However, it can happen with experienced surgeon also. Here it becomes difficult to explain to the patient and convince him for immediate corrective surgery.

In this video-based course, experts will discuss the case about counseling including less or no subsequent charges. They will also explain how to evaluate the condition, mainly IOL position and demonstrate how to manage as depending upon IOL position, whether same IOL can be repositioned or need to be explanted and to replace with new PC IOL or scleral fixated IOL depending upon the capsular support available. Aim is to give patient better anatomical and visual results. Important points as what precautions to be taken if some complications occur during primary surgery will also be discussed.
