VT0096 : Vitrectorrhexis in Pediatric Cataract Surgery.

Abstract

This video demonstrates the use of small and large gauge vitreous cutter instruments in the management of pediatric cataract surgery. The cutters are used to create an anterior capsulorrhexis (vitrectorrhexis), posterior capsulorrhexis (vitrectorrhexis), vitrectomy, membranectomy, peripheral iridectomy, cortical aspiration and debulking of cortical material in intumescent cataracts associated with acute posterior capsular rupture in posterior polar cataracts.
