Abstract
Patient Aged 60 Years with H/OTrauma .Vison 6/60,Cornea clear and Anterior Chamber VH grade 2 and NS2 subluxated Cataract,Posted For phacoemulsification with foldable IOL implantation.Temporal clear corneal section ,CCC done. After ¼ trenching extensive phacodonesis noted CTR implanted, Phaco continued during last piece emulsification PCRhappened.Careful cortex aspiration done,small cortex left deliberately in periphery to avoid PCRextension &Vitreous disturbance. Foldable IOL implantedaiming for sulcus but went into bag.Tried dialing on to sulcus in vain as bag is weak. IOLwas stable further manipulation stopped for the fear of Aphakia.First postoperative day Vison was 6/9 IOL is stable.But unfortunately on 1week postoperative the left over cortex found behind IOL in visual axis.Patient taken up for resurgery for cortical cleanup.As soon as tried for cortex washCapsular bag cameout.AutomatedAnterior vitrectomy and retrofixation of Iris clawIOL.Post operatively patient wasdoing well.
