Abstract

Budding cataract surgeons have often difficulty in identifying the posterior capsule during cataract surgery before implanting the intraocular lens (IOL). In this video we come up with 5 signs of intact posterior capsule before implantation of the IOL. These signs are – (1) Trampoline sign (2) toothpaste pattern of viscoelastics (3) Wave sign (4) Halo sign and (5) Purkinje Image sign.
