Abstract

a normal phacoemulsification was done. Hoya Nanex IOL was planned. Tried to implant the IOL in wound-assisted method. The IOL was stuck in the wound and with the jerk created by the injector the leading haptic created an extensive zonular dialysis. the bag is inflated with visco elastic. IOL was removed from the wound. a CTR ring was tried. But as the ring was advanced, folds appeared in the posterior capsule indicating the ring is no longer in the bag. so the CTR is partially removed, and after reinflating the bag with visco elastics, the CTR is reintroduced carefully. now the wound is a bit enlarged to introduce the IOL again successfully.
