Abstract
A 56 year old female sustained cow horn injury in her RE. She had 360 degree iridodialysis, dislocated crystalline lens and vitreous haemorrhage. She underwent PPV & phacofragmentation and kept aphakic. .
Steps
Conjunctival Flaps were made horizontally on both temporal and nasal side→ Corneal marker used for proper alignment of incision site→ partial thickness scleral flaps were made on both the sides→ corneal incision made from temporal side→10-0 prolene suture with straight needle was passed 2 mm away from nasal limbus & taken out through the opposite limbus→straight needle was passed through the eyelets of the haptics→ straight needle was taken out through the nasal flap side (26 g needle)–> tying of temporal eyelets & straight needle passed through eyelets of trailing haptic→ the IOL was glided through Anterior chamber→ both haptics fixed by proper knots→corneal incision was sutured with 8-0 vicryl→scleral flaps closed & conjunctival flaps apposed.
