With an increase in surgical experience, with reputation often at stake, surgeons incline towards safer surgery with due consideration to endothelium and posterior capsule avoiding aggressive chopping. After a good rhexis, nucleus cracking becomes the cornerstone of a successful case. In unprecedented scenarios, the nucleus doesn’t crack even in experienced hands. Desperation to crack can often worsen the scenario, leading to complications. How to handle this and come out smoothly?
