GP0135 : MISSION POSSIBLE: PHACOEMULSIFICATION, FEMTO-LASER & ZEPTO ASSISTED PHACO IN CHALLENGING CASES

Abstract

Dr. Suresh K. Pandey

This video-based course will highlight phacoemulsification and femto-laser and zepto-assisted phaco in complex cataracts. Surgical techniques will be presented for managing soft to rock-hard cataracts, white, traumatic, subluxated cataract, pediatric cataract, pseudoexfoliation syndrome, zonular dehiscence, small pupil, floppy iris, posterior polar cataract, phaco in corneal opacities, and glued IOL/suture-less secondary IOL fixation. Management of difficult cases of cataracts by Femto-laser and zepto-assisted phacoemulsification will be discussed. Attendees will become familiar with technical nuances in handling complex phaco surgery as well as learn how to manage challenging situations like small pupil, pediatric cataract, floppy iris, ultra-dense cataract, traumatic cataract with torn, fibrotic capsule, pseudo-exfoliatation syndrome with weak zonules, posterior polar cataract, suture-less secondary IOL fixation, etc.
