Advanced corneal topography devices have made it possible to diagnose early stages of corneal ectasia. Prevalence of keratoconus is on rise and not a rare disease as once thought. Earlier age of onset is associated with faster progression. Increased awareness in society and demand for refractive surgery has resulted in many patients diagnosed to have of early corneal ectasia. Collagen cross linking (CXL) is a minimally invasive procedure used to prevent progression of corneal ectasia. This course is intended to educate about CXL to Comprehensive Ophthalmologists. This course throws light on basics of CXL, indications, procedure , management of complications and also recent advances.
