Abstract
Dr.Nitin Balakrishnan
Over the past few years KC management has seen a paradigm shift with numerous treatment options to choose from. This course is designed at highlighting the various modalities for KC Management. The most important step in management of any disease is the prompt and correct diagnosis of the same.
We aim to illustrate imaging modalities and parameters in Scheimpflug and Anterior segment OCT for early diagnosis of ectasia.
Recent advances and variations available in cross linking will be demonstrated.
We highlight decision making, planning, technique & controversies in topography guided treatments
Intracorneal ring segments of various forms will be discussed in detail
Surgical modality of deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty, for advanced KC will be touched upon giving the audience a comprehensive overview of the multitude of treatment options in KC
Finally we aim to illustrate management of residual refractive errors post KC Management
This course is a complete knowhow of KC Management.
