Study Design- Case Report
Purpose: Aneurysmal bone cyst (ABC) is a non-neoplastic fibrous bony lesion. Orbital involvement is rare.
Methodology: A case report of orbital ABC, along with clinical, radiological, and histological features.
RESULT: Parents of an 8-month-old male child noticed progressively increasing swelling of the left upper eyelid of the infant with inferior dystopia and proptosis of the eye for the past 3 months. On examination, firm, non-tender mass was palpable. MRI orbit revealed an enhancing, multiloculated intraorbital mass lesion. The histopathology examination of incision biopsy revealed morphological features of an ABC. CT scan of orbit revealed splaying of the roof and medial wall with an enhancing cystic mass. Complete excision was performed via anterior orbitotomy.
CONCLUSION: To the best of our knowledge, only 33 cases of orbital aneurysmal bone cysts have been reported in literature. This is the youngest patient presenting with orbital ABC
