Abstract

Study design- cross sectional study
Purpose- To assess the availability of low vision assistive products (LVAP) for educational and non educational purposes at schools for blind in north Bihar
Method- this is a cross sectional study conducted among seven schools for blind in north Bihar. The principals of each school were interviewed in person . Questionnaire was prepared which consisted of 24 LVAPs for visually impaired children
Data was analysed and presented in percentages . Confidentiality of blind school was maintained
Result- all 24 LVAPs were not available at any of the blind schools . 2 LVAPs were present in all schools ,out of the remaining LVAPs 4 were present in 3 schools, 1 was present in 4 schools, 5 were available at 2 schools, rest of the LVAPs showed no availability at any of the schools.
