FP0643 : A CASE OF POST HEAD INJURY PURTSCHERS RETINOPATHY

Abstract

INTRODUCTION: PURTSCHER RETINOPATHY is chorioretinopathy associated with non-ocular injury classically associated with compression trauma & constellation of finding including cotton wool spot retinal hemorrhage optic disc edema & Purtscher flecken .
CASE HISTORY 30-year male presented with diminution of vision in both eye 2 months back following trauma to head due to fall from tractor along with fracture of arm. on examination visual acuity in both eyes is counting finger close to face with normal intraocular pressure right eye fundus examination showed multiple subretinal hemorrhages multiple areas of retinal whitening around fovea which are Purtscher Flecken & macular edema left eye fundus examination showed large pre retinal hemorrhage supertemporal to disc & Purtscher flecken right eye oct showed hyper reflectivity in inner retinal layer along with macular edema patient is started on tab prednisolone tab vitamin B12 tab aspirin eye drop nepafenac & conservative management done
