Abstract
29 y/M underwent LASIK. POD-1 UCVA in the OD was 6/18 improving to 6/6p with pinhole and OS UCVA was 6/6. OD flap striae noted. Right eye flap wash was done and epithelium was debrided & BCL was applied. POD2 OD UCVA was 6/18 6/12 and OS UCVA was 6/6. On S/L/E- OD whitish anterior stromal infiltrate in the periphery without an epithelial defect present like an arc from 6 9 clock hour ,1 mm width beyond the flap edge. Flap & central cornea were not involved. OD corneal scraping was done. BCL & scraping sample were sent for microbiology evaluation. Fortified Amikacin, Vancomycin & cycloplegics instilled. Smear & culture reports were negative. After R/O infective pathology presumptive diagnosis of OD sterile infiltrate made. In addition, topical Fluorometholone 0.1% four times a day was started. Infiltrate size gradually started decreasing. His UCVA now was 6/9 improving to 6/6 with pinhole. Complete resolution of the infiltrate with minimal haze in the periphery & his OD UCVA was 6/6
