FP3122 : Long term outcomes of SFIOL versus retropupillary fixated iris claw IOL implantation

Abstract

Retrospective review of consecutive case series in a tertiary eye care centre in South India of patients who underwent SFIOL(n=50) or IRIS CLAW(n=50) with atleast 2 year follow up. Purpose was to analyse difference in outcome in these 2 preferred choices of secondary iol implantation. primary outcome was BCVA , secondary outcomes were post Lens Centration, and post op complication( Secondary glaucoma, CME) and incidence of re surgery. Results showed improvement in visual acuity in both cases, however there was significant pigment dispersion leading to inflammation in Iris claw IOL group. Iris claw re- enclavation was most common re- surgery. Incidence of Raised IOP was more in SFIOL group(n=10). 2 patients had IOL tilt.
