On day 12, growth of Nocardia was noted which was sensitive to the same antibiotics. Topical amikacin was continued along with IV amikacin 500 mg BD for 2 weeks. All lesions finally healed after 6 weeks. Results and conclusion:Pasteurella species is a gram negative, facultative anaerobic coccobacillus with P. canis commonly causing skin and soft tissue infections associated with dog bites .3 year data from our institute showed 13 cases of P.canis in keratitis, post traumatic endophthalmitis and dacryocystitis.
