Abstract
Retrospective study of a case in which a 9year male child presented with chief complain of LE diminution of vision,pain,redness,watering and itching since 10 days a/c bodypain and tiredness.
On Examination RE vision was 6/6 measured on distance Snellen chart and rest examination was normal in all aspect.On LE examination patient vision was finger counting 4meter. After doing blood investigations,Stool examination and MRI (brain+ orbit )etc, patient was diagnosed as a case of loa loa filariasis.on slit lamp examination worm can be clearly seen adherent to cornea in anterior segment, there was a membrane present around it.patient was started on oral medication diethylcarbamazine according to paediatric dose and AC wash+Membranectomy was done. Pt responded well to treatment and on post op day 14, patient left eye vision was 6/12 on distance snellen chart.
