Abstract
Study design: Retrospective study. Purpose: To describe the varied presentation of lid tumours and to determine clinical and histopathological correlation in diagnosis of same. Methods: We collected the data of all patients presenting with lid tumours from January 2023 to March 2023. We compiled information regarding their presentation and examination details. We also reviewed the procedures of management and biopsy reports. Results: Data of 438 patients was collected. The most common presentation was lid warts followed by chalazion. Lipoma and sebaceous cell carcinoma were the least common. Clinical findings histopathologically correlated in 182 patients and did not correlate in 43. Conclusion: In this study, lid tumours had a female preponderance, with inflammatory tumours leading the list. Among non-inflammatory tumours, benign ones with epithelial origin were the most common.
