Abstract

A 15 year boy presented with nystagmus and right eye diminution of vision from past 9 months,left eye since childhood.RE BCVA was CFCF and LE No PL.Ocular examination showed RE iris coloboma,clear lens and inferior retino-choroidal coloboma with RD.LE had Phthisis bulbi(Bscan:Closed funnel RD).
RE underwent VR surgery (PPV+ FAE+EL+SOI).2 month follow up showed,emulsified silicone oil with attached retina.SOR was done at 10 weeks.1 week post SOR, recurrent RD was noted with subretinal emulsified silicone oil.OCT over coloboma showed ICM break with connecting pathway to subretinal emulsified SO.Re-surgery for recurrent RD with subretinal silicone oil removal was planned.
FAE with active extrusion was done at coloboma edge,resulting in partial removal of subretinal SO.New drainage retinotomy was made near temporal edge of RCC, complete removal of subretinal SO was achieved and C3F8 was injected.On follow up (WEEK1,MONTH1,MONTH3) retina is stable with attached ICM and BCVA 6/24.
