Abstract

Presenting a 10 year follow-up case of optic disc melanocytoma with pigmentary migration of RPE and lesion abutting nasal choroid and retina. A 37-year-old lady presented with sudden decrease of vision in the left eye since 4 days (BCVA 6/9). The fundus examination in the left eye revealed a punched out raised lesion of 1.8 x 2.5 mm involving the entire disc with central pigmentation, optic disc oedema and diffuse pigmentation along the margins of optic disc extending inferiorly involving the macula with an associated macular oedema and preretinal haemorrhages. On Fundus Fluorescein Angiography, the optic disc melanocytoma was hypofluorescent throughout the procedure due to blocking effect by the pigment. An irregular area of hypo-fluorescence was seen over the macular area with hyperfluorescent borders in early stages which gradually increased both in size and intensity in the later stages, suggestive of the choroidal neovascular membrane.
