Abstract
PURPOSE – To study the etiology, risk factors, clinical features, investigative modalities, treatment options and follow up in a case series of IIH
METHODS – Hospital based analytical study for a period of 6 months using 50 different cases of IIH . Out of this 10 patients underwent CSF rhinorrhoea repair and on follow up. Methods using questionnaire and analysis of hospital EMR data and close follow up of the patients with ophthalmological and neurological investigations.
RESULTS and CONCLUSION – It is noticed that the incidence of IIH is slowly increasing among our population with wide range of etiological , demographic profile. These are cases presented here to highlight the need for a proper clinical and neurological evaluation and neuroimaging in patients with headache when there is a suspicion of IIH
