FP2592 : A case of post traumatic rosette cataract with subluxated lens

Abstract

A 36 old male presented with insidious , progressive, painless diminution of vision in right eye since 8 months. He has history of road traffic accident(RTA) 8 months ago. The vision is 6/60 in right eye and 6/9 in left eyes and on slit lamp examination , a subluxation was seen for almost 6 clock hours and a rosette cataract was seen. On posterior segment evaluation, no abnormality was detected.
The patient was investigated and prepared for cataract surgery. Phacoemulsification procedure was done and a scleral fixation intraocular lens was used.
Postoperative vision of patient was 6/9 in both eyes.
