Retrospective study
To see the surgical outcome of a scleral patch graft in a ciliary staphyloma + dislocated IOL + Retinal detachment.
A 54/M came to the OPD with chief complaints of diminision of vision associated with pain and FB sensation in the LE since 1 year. He had no history of ocular trauma and had a past history of SICS in that eye 7 years ago elsewhere. On examination, his vision was hand movements close to face with PL + and an accurate PR. A posteriorly dislocated IOL with inferior RRD involving the macula with an HST and LD inferiorly at 6 o clock was noted. A ciliary staphyloma measuring 10mm * 8mm was seen superiorly. The patient underwent LE PPV + Scleral patch graft + IOL explantation + Endolaser + Silicon oil injection and his postoperative vision was finger counting at 1 metre.
Pathophysiology of ciliary staphylomas, different surgical techniques of scleral patch grafts, their materials, complications and long term follow up has been discussed in our study
