Abstract
Aim:To Describe the morphological features in Non-Occupational Laser Exposure Retinopathy by Image analysis & its correlations
Materials & Methods: A retrospective multi-centre analysis of consecutive cases presenting between May 2022 & April 2023 having history of laser exposure & retinal injury. Image Analysis done with ImageJ software. Correlations were examined with regression analysis
Results:A total 51 eyes of 51 patients from 5 centres were included in the study. A total of 40 eligible images were analysed. The size of hemorrhage ranged from 0.2 DD to 5.4 DD (Average1.90 SD1.29). Varied shapes of hemorrhages were observed. In 13 eyes (32.5%), a dot of retinal whitening was observed within the parafoveal area. Sub-hyaloid hemorrhage seen in 15(37.5%), sub-ILM in 17(42.5%) & both layers in 8(20%). Statistically significant correlation seen between the hemorrhage size & laser hyaloidotomy (Pearson r = +0.636; P < 0.001) No correlation between hemorrhage size & final visual acuity
