Abstract
Study Design:Prospective, hospital based, observational study. Purpose: To study the visual outcomes and patient satisfaction after phacoemulsification with Vivity intraocular lens (IOL) implantation. Methods-Study consisting of 64 subjects were followed up for 1 month to look for the objective and subjective aspect using modified Catquest 9SF Questionnaire. Results- Among the subjects 93.6% had distant visual acuity of >6/12, 93.7% had intermediate vision >N18 and 50.8% had a near vision of >N18. 79.4% of subjects had good contrast sensitivity. 95.2% of study subjects were comfortable with distance vision, while 74.6% and 22.2% were comfortable with intermediate and near vision respectively. Two patients complained of glare. 88.8% of subjects were satisfied with their post-operative visual outcome 65% of patients were willing to Vivity IOL in other eye. Conclusion: Good distance & intermediate visual acuity were noted, with lower near vision addition. Subjectively most were satisfied.
