Abstract
STUDY DESIGN: single centre, single surgeon, prospective study.
PURPOSE: to evaluate accuracy and repeatability of corneal flap thickness in laser assisted in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) surgery with Moria SBK single use 90 and 130 microkeratome.
METHODS: Patients undergoing microkeratome LASIK surgery in a tertiary eye care Centre were included. Corneal flaps created using Moria SBK single use head 90 or 130 microkeratome with hinges positioned nasally .The corneal flap thickness measured at 1 week post operatively using AS OCT comparing the central and peripheral flap thickness at 0 and 180 degree.
RESULTS: mean flap thickness obtained with 90 and 130 heads was 96.34 and 134.65 respectively. No inter eye flap thickness variation was noticed.
CONCLUSION: Moria SBK single-use head 90 and 130 microkeratome cut relatively accurate flaps as intended with.
