FP0023 : Clinical features, diagnostic challenges and multimodal imaging in Pre- Papillary vascular loops.

Abstract

Study Design – Case series. Purpose – To diagnose and identify Pre – Papillary vascular loops using multimodal imaging. Methods – Three patients referred as neovascularisation/collaterals of the disc were evaluated with Fundus photo, Fundus Fluorescein Angiography, Optical Coherence Tomography/OCTA. Results – Case 1, a 60-year-old asymptomatic male with LE fundus showing presence of flat intraretinal vascular loop near the disc. FFA confirmed the absence of leaks. Case 2 was a 23-year-old male, with complaints of floaters in Left eye. His LE fundus showed old VH with no breaks or tears. FFA, showed the presence of intraretinal loops near the disc. Case 3 was a 47-year-old female who underwent PPV + SOI for VH. A vasculature resembling figure of 8 was seen projecting some distance into the vitreous cavity. OCTA showed absence of NVD. Conclusion – All three patients were diagnosed as cases of Pre – Papillary vascular loops. They required no further treatment and reassurance was given.
