Abstract
A 76-year male presented with left eye Diminution of vision. He underwent cataract surgery in right eye 8 months back and left eye complicated cataract surgery 1 month back. His Best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) Right eye(OD) 6/9, Left eye (OS) 6/18. Anterior segment examination in Right eye was normal and left eye had aphakia. OCT both eyes were normal. He underwent vitrectomy with scleral fixating intra-ocular lens (SFIOL) in his left eye. His post-operative follow-up at day one and 1 week were normal. Patient presented a month later, eye was quiet but temporal haptic was exposed. His BCVA in left eye improved to 6/12, N6. Patient was given option of observation explaining clearly about chance of infection or haptic repositioning surgery. He underwent haptic repositioning under local anaesthesia. After localized conjunctival peritomy, fresh scleral flap fashioned, haptic tucked in pocket and flap repositioned and conjunctiva glued. Patient followed at 1 month and is asymptomatic.
