Abstract
Study Design -Retrospective Cross-sectional. Purpose- To evaluate various outcomes associated with combined surgery of silicon oil removal and intraocular lens implantation in terms of refractive outcome, spectacles free vision, post-operative complications and need of re-surgery.
Methods : A retrospective study, single step study including 39 patients underwent SOR with phacoemulsification. The data of the patients was compared in terms of demographic differences, refractive status [Pre and Post surgery], Type of IOL implanted with power calculation, intraoperative difficulties, post-operative complications, post capsular opacification rate.
Conclusion: Combined procedure was found to be safe, time saving surgery with acceptable refractive and visual outcomes
