Abstract

Study Design : Descriptive Case Study.
Purpose: We demonstrate the presence of a neovascular membrane on a previously functioning trabeculectomy stoma in an eye with proliferative diabetic retinopathy and it's management through a multidisciplinary approach.
Methods: A detailed retrospective study of presenting complaints,detailed anterior and posterior segment evaluation,collection of documented images pre and post operatively and detailed study of management and post-operative outcome was done.
Results:. The resurgence of neovascularisation was treated with fill in pan retinal photocoagulation laser and intravitreal anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) injection followed by bleb needling under topical anaesthesia. . The bleb was revived with good filtration and a good intraocular pressure (IOP) control.
Conclusion – Neovascular glaucoma eyes that undergo trabeculectomy need close follow up to monitor the primary retinal condition and the filtration of the bleb.
